The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) International Food Safety Award is presented in partnership with the Environmental Health Foundation of Canada to a practicing Public Health Inspector who has made outstanding contributions primarily in the promotion of food safety in Canada.

Who is Eligible? Those working in the field of public health inspection and have been a CIPHI (regular) member in good standing, for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years. The recipient shall display the highest level of dedication, commitment, inspiration and leadership in the field of environmental health, with a focus on food safety. An individual can only be awarded the award once. No current member of the EHFC Board of Trustees is eligible for this award.

How to Apply: To nominate an individual, describe in a letter of no more than 500 words, how your nominee fulfills the above mentioned criteria. Complete and submit the nomination form and attach the nomination letter to ehfc@outlook.com. The award will be presented at the annual National CIPHI Annual Educational Conference or at a mutually agreed event should the candidate not be able to attend the conference.
