Pamela Scharfe, CPHI(C)

Pamela graduated from Ryerson and received her Public Health Inspection Certification in 1975. Her public health inspection career spanned 34 years (27 years with Toronto Public and 8 years with Huron County Health Unit). Pamela was a CIPHI Ontario Branch Councilor in the 1980’s and served as the Ontario Branch CIPHI Exam Coordinator for ten years. She also served on various work groups and sub-committees of the Association of Supervisors of Public Health Inspectors (Ontario) for which she was recognized in 2009 by her colleagues by receiving the Distinguished Services Award from the Association of Local Public Health Agencies (Ontario). Pamela currently works part-time as a project manager with an engineering firm specializing in environmental assessments, water quality, and sewage system inspections. She is passionate about beach water quality and has served on various local, provincial, national and international committees, and is currently Vice-Chair of the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation. Pamela is currently the EHFC Vice-Chair, Chair of the Communications Committee and EHFC webmaster.
