Tim Roark, CPHI(C), RPHI

Tim Roark started his career in Northwestern Ontario after graduating from Ryerson and receiving his CPHI(C) in 1967.  After two years in Kenora and Dryden he moved to White Rock, B.C.   During his career he gained significant experience with several health regional agencies as well has Health Canada both in the field and in management.  Upon retirement in 2004 he established Tim Roark & Associates, Environmental Health Consultants.  He has held several positions including Chair of the BC Board of Registration for PHIs, BC and National President of the CIPHI, a member of the Council of Public Health Consultants and presently Chair of the Certification Council for NSF International. He was a Founding Member and is currently Treasurer of the Environmental Health Foundation of Canada.  He is presently Historian for CIPHI National and the BC Branch and well as being the BC Rep. for the CIPHI Retirees Advisory Committee known as the “Senators”.  During his 43 years in Environmental Health Tim has received several awards including the President’s Award from CPHA, Honorary Citizen of the City of Winnipeg as well as the Alex Cross Award and Life Membership from CIPHI.
